LGBTQ+ Victory Fund Endorses Marcus Mrowka for State House District 41
National organization endorses Mrowka because he will be a strong voice for equality when elected
The LGBTQ+ Victory Fund, the only national organization dedicated to electing LGBTQ+ people to public office, endorsed Marcus Mrowka for Maine State House District 41. The endorsement signals Victory Fund’s confidence that Mrowka is well-positioned to win the State House race and be a strong voice for equality. Mrowka is one of only two Maine candidates to earn LGBTQ+ Victory Fund’s endorsement so far in 2026.
“Our campaign is about fighting for a better future—for all,” said Mrowka. “I’m honored to be recognized by LGBTQ+ Victory Fund for my unwavering support for equality. At a time when the rights and freedoms we cherish are under grave assault from the Trump administration and other wealthy forces, we need leaders in the legislature who will stand up to ensure that all Maine residents are treated with dignity, respect, and fairness. And that they are free to be who they are without fear.

LGBTQ+ people remain severely underrepresented in government nationwide – holding just 0.2 percent of elected positions despite representing at least 7.2 percent of the U.S. population, according to LGBTQ+ Victory Institute. As an out LGBTQ+ leader, Mrowka will be an unwavering
voice for equality in the Maine State House. He has spent his career in the labor movement and in education, fighting alongside working people to ensure fairness and secure good-paying jobs, affordable healthcare, great public schools, and a path to a better future. His priorities in office include making housing, healthcare, childcare, and energy costs more affordable, making it easier to start and sustain small businesses, supporting public schools and expanding Career and Technical Education, being in solidarity with unions and working people, and protecting the rights of all Mainers.
